Who processes your data

The data controller is:

Pit Stop S.r.l.s. — MIBSolution.it
Via per Ceglie km 0,500, 72021 Francavilla Fontana (BR), Italia
VAT number IT02680080740
pitstopitalia@outlook.it

For any request about your data write to pitstopitalia@outlook.it. We have not appointed a data protection officer (DPO): we do not fall within the cases in which the GDPR makes it mandatory.

A note on the quote form

The form you find in Request a free quote does not send anything to any server: when you press send it prepares a ready-written message and opens your mail program. The email is sent from your own mailbox, and the data reaches us only if you press send yourself. Until you do, what you have written stays on your device.

On what legal basis

  • Quote requests and repairs: performance of a contract or of pre-contractual measures requested by you (Art. 6.1.b GDPR). We do not ask you for consent, because without this data we cannot do the work you are asking of us.
  • Client area and subscriptions: performance of the contract (Art. 6.1.b).
  • Invoicing and accounting records: legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c).
  • Server logs: our legitimate interest in keeping the service running and safe from abuse (Art. 6.1.f).

Who we share them with

We do not sell and do not pass data to anyone for advertising purposes. It is processed on our behalf only by those who supply us with the services we need in order to work:

SupplierWhat it does for usWhere
Hostingerhosting of the public websiteEuropean Union
Hetznerclient area server and file archiveGermany
Stripecollection of subscription paymentsIreland, with transfers to the United States
Packlinkshipping labels and collectionsEuropean Union
Microsoftmailbox we reply fromEuropean Union

Transfers outside the European Union

The only case is Stripe, which handles the payments: the European company is based in Ireland, but some processing may involve the United States. Stripe applies the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. Everything else stays within the European Union.

How long we keep them

  • Requests with no follow-up: the time needed to reply to you and to see whether anything comes of it. Then they are deleted.
  • Work carried out: for the whole warranty period, so that if you come back we can reconstruct what was done on your unit.
  • Tax documents: ten years, as the Italian Civil Code requires.
  • Client area: as long as the account stays active. If you ask for deletion we close it, keeping only what the law obliges us to retain.
  • Server logs: a few days, then they overwrite themselves.

What rights you have

You can ask us at any time to:

  • know which data we hold about you and receive a copy of it (access);
  • correct those that are wrong or incomplete (rectification);
  • delete them, where we have no legal obligation to keep them;
  • restrict their use while a dispute is being clarified;
  • receive in a file those you gave us yourself, to take them elsewhere (portability);
  • object to the processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interest.

An email to pitstopitalia@outlook.itis enough. We reply within a month; if the request is complex we can take up to three months, but we tell you so within the first.

If you think we are getting it wrong

You can turn to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or to the courts. We would appreciate hearing about it first, but it is your right and you do not have to ask our permission.

If this notice changes

The date at the top says when it was last updated. If something substantial changes in the way we handle data we write it here and, for those with an account, we also flag it in the client area.
