The MH2P Alpine platform is fitted to Audi, Lamborghini, Porsche and Volkswagen. We repair it at component level, with 25 firmware updates already tested in the workshop and the navigation maps ready for the units of this family.
The codes are read in the unit's service menu: if you know which one you have in your hands, you already know whether it is covered.
We work on the faulty component: the unit comes back with its own coding and its own VIN, ready to refit.
On MIB2 the endless reboot cycle is almost always worn eMMC memory: it is replaced with higher-grade memory and the firmware is rebuilt.
The sound can be heard but the display stays off: we work on the LCD panel or the backlight, the rest of the unit stays original.
The display shows an image but the touch does not work, or "presses by itself": the digitizer is replaced with bench recalibration.
No sound, only one channel or background hiss: output stage, power supply or connector.
It is among the platforms we see least often for service. When one does arrive, it normally goes to replacement: we can supply the unit already adapted to the vehicle and ready to fit.
